I know some of you have already seen my "Prints" poem,
but I wanted to share it here, with an additional thought.

My additional thought is this ...

What type of prints are you leaving?

Prints in water, snow, sand, or concrete?

- Prints in water are gone as soon as you leave.

- Prints in snow melt away when exposed to heat.

- Prints in sand get washed away with the tide.

- Prints in concrete leave lasting impressions over time.

What type of prints are you leaving in the lives of others?

Rick: What a very thought provoking poem! It makes me stop and examine the impact I am having on those around me. Am I impacting them in any lasting way? Thank you for sharing.

The footprints idea made me think of another footprint poem which I am sure you have all seen but this one holds special meaning for me as it was always hanging on the wall in my grandparents house. You can read it here:

Enlightening poem.

Thinking back...... to have people remember what about me? "Christ in the thoughts of all who think of me, on the lips of all who speak of me, and in the hearts of all who knew me." That is my hope. To leave the prints of Christ so others can love Him.

And thanks for the link to the "footprints in the sand" poem. Interesting to see who "may have" actually wrote that one after all these years.
