Thanks Rick for the link to this poem,

It was a lot of deep truth in a few short lines.

We need to seek, and see the face of Jesus daily as he
helps us forward with our unpredictable lives. One thing
that never changes, and is always full of love, is the face
of Jesus as he listens to us and helps us forward.

Jesus is alive and still calling us to his precious presence.

I was just reading Gen. 32 for my Sunday School lesson and came across the verse where Jacob names the place - where he was standing, and had "wrestled with God" - Peniel, meaning "face of God".

That reminded me of a quote I wanted to share here the other day but have not, as of yet, so here it is. Smile

"Seek His face before you seek His hand."

I believe that is what true worship is all about. Seeking the face of God. Actually seeking God Himself, and not just God's blessings or provision.

Remember the famous verse II Chronicles 7:14?

There God says " if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

We sometimes leave out the "seek my face" part, and concentrate solely upon the "pray" (or ask) part. Sad

I thought that this idea fit nicely here in this topic. Smile
